Formed by principal players of the San Diego Symphony and Seattle Symphony, the Myriad Trio consists of flutist Demarre McGill, harpist Julie Smith, and violist Che-Yen Chen. The trio’s last Orange County performance took place in March 2012 at Soka Performing Arts Center to celebrate the release of its debut recording, featuring a piece specially commissioned for it by composer David Bruce, entitled “The Eye of Night.”
