Obviously, if you're looking for authentic Japanese food, you shouldn't be at the Irvine Spectrum. But it's nice to know that while shopping, you can stop by and get shabu shabu and sushi! Maki Maki is a big restaurant and has a bar, shabu shabu area, and table/booth seating. It gets crowded on weekends, but I think they have weekday happy hour sushi specials, which are a steal! :)
