Transformed by Faith

For one believes with the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved." Romans 10:10
 
Has your life grown tepid and cold? Do you believe in Jesus but without consistency? Do you desire to rediscover Jesus Christ? "Transformed by Faith" is a retreat experience for college students 18+ who desire to know and love Jesus in a more personal and consistant way.
 
This past October, Pope Benedict announced that the Church would have a "Year of Faith" from October 2012- November… Show more 2013. "Transformed by Faith" is inspired by Pope Benedict's call. He wants each and every Catholic to have a living and personal relationship with Jesus Christ so that we may bring the Good News to a world that is drowning in bad news. We are called encounter the living Jesus in our heart and then share him with others, just as Romans 10:10 says.
 
How? How do I have this encounter and how do I live it?
 
"Transformed by Faith" aims at providing a special encounter with the living Lord Jesus through talks, prayer, Scripture, and Sacraments. Then "Transformed by Faith" will provide a chance to form a plan for change after the weekend. A way, any real way, for you to put your faith into action in answer to Christ's call. Pope Benedict says it beautifully: "Faith grows when it is lived as an experience of love received and when it is communicated as an experience of grace and joy. It makes us fruitful... enables us to bear life-giving witness... Believers, so Saint Augustine tells us, “strengthen themselves by believing”."
