T-FFED is honored to host the following workshops:
Axel Angel: Our Deviant Bodies: Self Love in Our Bodily Encounters with Others
This will be a space to share our stories of sexual and non-sexual bodily encounters with others. We have all heard of body positivity... but what does that actually mean to us as trans*people? We will be creating a brave space where we can together build a tool box of ways to better understand our bodies and experiences, especially when it comes to sexy scenarios in and out of the bedroom. We will talk about consent, body autonomy and "positivity," negotiating (or not) sexual/non-sexual encounters, gender and dysphoria, our "theirstories," and self love and care. This workshop will be dependent on who comes into the room, with the opportunity to anonymously make requests for issues or ideas you would like to discuss. This workshop is open to everyone, including those who identify as asexual, and will be centering the experiences of queer and trans* people of color.
Gloria Lucas: I Am Not White and I Have an Eating Disorder!
**PoC Only** This workshop will focus on the unique experiences PoC have had with colonialism and the development of eating disorders. European colonialism left a legacy of disadvantages and injuries that continue to impact communities of color today. This workshop will allow participants to learn about post-traumatic slave syndrome and historical trauma, and in what respects those experiences have impacted the relationship PoC have with their bodies. Furthermore, we will hold a discussion on how to start the healing process through decolonizing.
Ki'tay Davidson: Embracing Disability and Loving our Bodies
This workshop will incorporate a lens of disability justice to discuss internalized ableism and methods for cultivating interdependent communities that affirm all of our bodies and minds. We will begin by challenging the concept that our worths rest in our productivity and that we must "overcome" our disabilities to be valuable. We will then shift to exploring and strategizing how we can affirm and love ourselves (collectively), particularly in the presence of depression and suicide ideation.
Jovan Wolfe: Herbal Healing
Discover the healing power of herbs to aid us in the path towards a more balanced life. In this workshop we will unravel the root of eating disorders and their complications. We will take a look at various herbs that have the potential to work synergistically within our bodies to combat ailments connected to eating disorders such as insomnia, anxiety, depression, fatigue, unbalanced hormone levels, stress, constipation, nausea, etc.
Deejay Brown: Radical Self Care
A workshop on Queering Wellness and Cultivating Balance. In this workshop we will work together to cultivate wellness techniques as we will work together as a community to create personal wellness-and self care plans as they align best to our own individual identities. Let us negotiate balance, and develop insight as we assist others on our personal journeys.
Dagan VanDemark and Noah Kellawan: Body Dysmorphia/Gender Dysphoria Facilitated Discussion
This discussion will unpack the difficult, intersectional and interlocking ways in which we as trans/gender-diverse people experience our bodies. We will talk about the socio-cultural messages and overarching systems that inform our perception of gender and body size/shape/appearance; discuss racialized, ableist and cissexist/heteronormative standards; and dismantle fatphobia. This group will discuss ways in which we can practice body positivity and self-love even while we may not be comfortable in our gendered bodies.

Karen Anzoategui: Catholic School Daze (CSD)
CSD is a 60-minute autobiographical solo performance/ interactive workshop for exploring TRAUMA.
CSD is written and performed by Karen Anzoategui and directed by Marcos Najera tells the story of 'Karen' who is forced to attend Catholic high school. Karen not only discovers her gender non-conforming proclivities but also discovers her connection with and love of Christ. However, 265 hours of Christian Service later, Karen is forced to take the blame for an act of "lesbianism" in front of the whole school. Who will save her now? Bullied by administrators and schoolmates alike, Karen is forced to make difficult decisions to survive Catholic High School, even if it means becoming a "catholic chola." If you thought surviving the streets was hard, try surviving Catholic School.
This performance has been followed with an interactive workshop that includes Theatre of The Oppressed exercises with participants usually exploring issues related to the story/performance such as trauma including "cutting"/forms of self infliction/suicide attempts in an effort to understand the mental health impact due to religious persecution or bullying based on sexual orientation.
