Went to see Level 42 at the concert hall, Glasgow, 5/10/08. Was really looking forward to seeing them again, as the last time was 1987, at their peak. God, how the times have changed. At one point actually started to feel sorry for them. Apart from Lessons in Love, this concert was a dirge of Mark Kings bass skills, which at times had me snoozing. The first three tracks blended into one and failed to get the audience moving. This was a sight of a band trying to relive thier former glory. Throw in a couple of bass slapping instrumentals, and you have a recipe for a very dull concert. We left 10 mins before the end, as could no longer stand not being able to hear Mark Kings voice for the thumping bass and drums, was at times reminding me of the guys who bang a drum at football matches.....VERY REPETTITIVE. This band were once great but have totally lost their sparkle and just dont have anything to offer a current audience anymore. Left feeling flat and in a way wished I had not went as my 1987 memory of seeing them has been washed away by what I saw in Glasgow....Pity
