Gov't Mule
Gov't Mule Remove performer from this event
Few bands have a reputation for making music as consistently honest, organic and daring as Gov't Mule. Now the enduring group fronted by visionary singer-guitarist Warren Haynes returns with their first album in four years — their Blue Note Records debut Shout!, a breath-taking, exploratory double-disc set to be released on September 17....
Primus
Primus Remove performer from this event
Primus is all about Les Claypool; there isn't a moment on any of their records where his bass isn't the main focal point of the music, with his vocals acting as a bizarre side-show. Which isn't to deny guitarist Larry LaLonde or drummer Tim "Herb" Alexander any credit; no drummer could weave in and around Claypool's convoluted patterns as effortlessly as Alexander, and few guitarists would willingly push the spotlight away, like LaLonde does, just to can produce a never-ending spiral of avant-noise....

Jan 26, 2014 - dsteiny on Nicki Bluhm & The Gramblers
Disappointment

We saw Nicki Bluhm and the Gramblers at Terrapin Crossroads last night with a large group and we ended leaving before the show was over.

This is amazing, because everyone was very excited about the show - we were pumped! But, unfortunately the band was not. It's been a long time since I've seen a show where I felt like the performers couldn't wait for it to be over.

We paid quite a lot for these tickets, we all love the videos Nickie does in the car (great stuff) as well as many of the bands songs. But, guys you are professionals and the performance you put on last night was not up to par. Treat your audience with the same respect that we give to you :)

I'm not going to even to into the crazy amount of security at the show, but that's not the bands fault. I felt like I was watching a concert at the friggin police station!

Funky Jazz at its Best

Jazz-Funk, Acid Jazz, and terms like that are somewhat overused in modern music. Most artists described in this way are one but not truly the other. Not Soulive. They are the funkiest, jazziest, groovinest band touring today.
