ZZ Top

The iconic group ZZ Top, comprised of Billy Gibbons (guitar), Dusty Hill (bass) and Frank Beard (drums), has been making musical history for more than four decades, and has proved to be one of the most successful and memorable southern rock and blues bands of all time. Often known as "That Little Ol' Band From Texas," ZZ Top was formed in Houston in 1969 and released "ZZ Top's First Album" in 1971.

Although the trio gained significant popularity throughout the '70s, it did not start winning awards… Show more until the 1980s. Throughout the band's career, it has produced 14 albums (four gold, three platinum, two multi-platinum and one diamond), was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004, has appeared on several television shows and movies, and was named the "Official Heroes of Texas" by the Texas House of Representatives in 1986.
