HPR's Mardi Gras Valentine Blues Revue

Mardi Gras is the perfect occasion to celebrate the music of New Orleans, where African, Caribbean, and European influences combine to create musical styles that could only have come from the Crescent City. "All of us in the band are looking forward to this show," Vandercook says. "For us, it's a special challenge. New Orleans music has a rhythmic feel all its own a groove that has its origins in the "second line" of singers and dancers that brought up the rear in neighborhood funeral procession and it will be our pleasure to bring it to the stage." Chris will be joined by drummer Chuck James, bassist Ernie Provencher, pianist Pat Rawson, and Paul Stanley's Powerhouse Horns, in a performance space that boasts excellent sound and lighting, for what promises to be a raucous and infectious show.
