Moving Current: Dancing Your Direction

This engaging performance begins with a short, vibrant dance by the Tampa based Moving Current dancers followed by a discussion guided by Artistic Director Cynthia Hennessy, which will lead the audience to now become the choreographer. Using what they have learned and their own imagination, the audience will direct the dancers creating a custom one-of-a-kind show! Since 1997, Moving Current Dance Collective, under the artistic direction of Shelley Bourgeois, Erin Cardinal and Cynthia Hennessy, offers the highest level of modern dance and arts education to Florida communities. The collective has established itself as one of the Southeastern region’s top modern dance companies and featured company in residence at the prestigious Florida Dance Festival. Moving Current is dedicated to improving arts awareness and fostering artistic development for all ages.

All performances take place at Hollywood Performing Arts Center, US-1 and Monroe Street (1770 Monroe Street).
