The Faces of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

The community is invited to St. Louis Mills to view the national traveling photo exhibit The Faces of CFS, which teaches about chronic fatigue syndrome.

Chronic fatigue syndrome is a complex chronic illness that results in profound fatigue and a number of other debilitating symptoms. One of the main issues surrounding CFS is that its patients don't "look sick." The exhibit features photographs of CFS patients, researchers and clinicians and their stories about dealing with the illness. Fashion… Show more and celebrity photographer George Lange has aimed his lens to focus in on CFS and capture those it affects.

This display is part of a public awareness campaign launched by the Chronic Fatigue and Immune Dysfunction Syndrome Association of America and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The multifaceted campaign provides vital information about who is at risk for CFS, the symptoms of the illness, treatment and management options, the importance of seeking diagnosis and treatment and the impact of CFS illness on both patients and family members.
