Bird Hike: On the Trail for the Skunk-Headed Coot

Saturday, Oct 25 10:30a to 1:30p

We’ll meet at the Interpretive Center this morning, and go straight out to the shoreline to find our quarry today: a distinctive, clownish seaduck known as a Surf Scoter that should be bobbing in flocks out in the deeper waters of the bay. With their black and white head they have affectionately been nicknamed the skunk-headed Coot. Ages 12 and up. Fee: $5 per person.
