San Francisco-based wild cat conservationist Zara McDonald gives an engaging and inspiring presentation about mountain lion ecology and history, the challenges humans face when sharing a habitat with pumas, and offers essential tips for living without fear in puma habitat. Felidae,a non-profit that advances the conservation of wild cats and their habitats, locally runs the Bay Area Puma Project–a research, education and conservation program for pumas in and around the Bay Area(www.bapp.org).
