Winter Tree Identification Hike

Sunday, Feb 10, 2013 1:30p to 4:30p

Learn the secrets to identifying common CT trees in the winter when leaves are not present. You can learn a lot from fetures of the bark and branches. The hike is expected to last about three hours and involve traveling over uneven, rocky terrain, possibly with a degree of rock scrambling. Hikers should be in good physical condition. Dress for the weather, and wear comfortable, supportive shoes, with good traction. Out of consideration for other hikers, dogs are not permitted on the hike.
