In Grand Style: Celebrations In Korean Art Docent Lecture
In recognition of a major exhibition on Korean Art from October 25, 2013-January 12, 2014 at the Asian Art Museum, this docent lecture explores the cultural significance of celebrations during Korea’s Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), when rites of passage like political appointments, birthdays, and weddings followed elaborate protocols. Much of the artwork on display will be new to museum visitors in the United States.
