Molly Abraham, Detroit News Restaurant Critic: If the words "jazz club" evoke images of a smoky dive, be assured that it is anything but the case at this jewel of a spot that offers dinner from a sophisticated menu and live jazz performances. Early dining is accompanied by background piano music, with the main performers coming in for shows at 8 and 10:30 p.m. generally. Chef Andre Neimanis turns out an eclectic menu that includes country pate, pan roast os salmon, with chorizo and white bean stew and braised fennel, escargot pot pie and beef brisket sliders on sourdough rolls. The room is handsomely done up with shaded wall sconces and chandeliers, dark wood and top of the line furnishings.
