The Rivers Bend Supper Club
In 1947, Peter Van Roy, a well-known Green Bay dentist bought a house on the bank of the Duck Creek River. He called it River's Bend. Little did he know that 27 years later, his youngest son, Karl, would be building a restaurant on this site. In 1947, Peter Van Roy, a well-known Green Bay dentist bought a house on the bank of the Duck Creek River. He called it River's Bend. Little did he know that 27 years later, his youngest son, Karl, would be building a restaurant on this site. To remind us of the old homestead, the brick from the 150-year-old house was used as a focal point to build the fireplace you see upon entering the restaurant. Over 21 years, there have been three additions: The Willow Room - To accommodate parties; a larger kitchen to handle the increased seating; and the third dining area - The Edgewater Room, a glassed in area, as many customers want to "sit by the window." A canopy was also added to the front entrance - great in inclement weather. A proud recognition was the 1989 Restaurateur of the Year Award, presented by their peers in The Wisconsin Restaurant Association.
