For many years the theatre attracted crowds to downtown Grants Pass, but the advent of television, multiplex cinemas and shopping malls made it difficult for the theatre to compete. For many years the theatre attracted crowds to downtown Grants Pass, but the advent of television, multiplex cinemas and shopping malls made it difficult for the theatre to compete. Saved from the wrecking ball in the late 1990's, the art deco styled Rogue Theatre has recently undergone a renaissance, becoming a showcase for national, regional and local performing arts.
By providing an attractive, welcoming facility, the Rogue Theatre is bringing life and economic vitality to downtown Grants Pass. We believe the theatre is helping to revitalize the central shopping district by creating an environment that will attract business investment and tourism to our city center.
Since the early '70s, Asleep at the Wheel have been the most important force in keeping the sound of Western swing alive. In reviving the freewheeling, eclectic sensibility of Western swing godfather Bob Wills, the Wheel have earned enthusiastic critical praise throughout their lengthy career; they have not only preserved classic sounds that had all but disappeared from country music, but have also been able to update the music, keeping it a living, breathing art form....

As the elder statesman of British blues, it is John Mayall's lot to be more renowned as a bandleader and mentor than as a performer in his own right. Throughout the '60s, his band, the Bluesbreakers, acted as a finishing school for the leading British blues-rock musicians of the era....
Liebert has said that "flamenco is a music both romantic and dangerous; it is an attitude as much as it is a musical genre." Therein lies the philosophy that catapulted him to fame at the end of the '80s with an engaging mix of subdued flamenco guitar and South American percussion, rock, jazz, and pop influences....
