Dave Jablonski received a Bachelor s Degree in Chemistry from the University of
Wisconsin *Milwaukee. He began his career at Thiem Corporation as a product
development chemist, formulating various binders, then specializing in refractory
coatings where he worked in… Show more product development, technical service, and quality for
nearly twenty *four years. When Borden Chemical acquired the Thiem business in 1989,
Dave was named Technical Manager of the Borden Refractory Coatings Group.
Dave also served for six years as Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Joy *Mark
where he was involved in the development, marketing, and sales of riser aids and filters
for the foundry industry.
He is currently employed by Badger Mining as its Foundry Team Leader.
Dave has been active on numerous AFS technical committees in the Molding Materials,
Magnesium, Steel, and Lost Foam divisions. He has presented at numerous AFS
Chapters, Regionals, Conferences and Casting Congresses on the subjects of sand,
refractory coatings, lost foam casting and casting defects. He has also served as a CMI
instructor for numerous courses.
Dave is a recipient of the CMI Director s Award, an AFS Service Citation, an AFS Award
of Scientific Merit and the Ezra Kotzin Award.
