DeVos PlaceĀ® is the brand-new, state-of-the-art convention center located in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids on the beautiful Grand River. The multilevel DeVos Place provides flexible and functional space with 1-million-square feet of new and renovated space on a 13-acre riverfront site. It is ideally equipped for meetings, conventions and trade shows as well as performing arts and touring events, and has the capability of hosting a variety of events simultaneously.

Grand Rapids celebrated the completion of Phases I and II of the Expansion Project with the DeVos Place Grand Opening in December 2003. Phase III, which includes the construction of the Ballroom, was completed February 2005.

The parking structure is conveniently located under DeVos Place is open for parking for DeVos Place and DeVos Performance Hall events. Over 300 parking spaces are available with access through the Michigan Street entrance. Signage in the parking ramp directs patrons to an elevator providing access to DeVos Performance Hall and the Grand Gallery. Patrons using the elevator will find themselves conveniently near the box office and entrances of DeVos Performance Hall and the Exhibit Hall.

DeVos Place is equipped with a snow melt sidewalk for convenience. Security remains on site around the clock and keeps watch over the building with 57 security cameras. The facility provides access and accommodations for wheelchairs and those with physical disabilities.

Over fifteen elevators allow for easy access for the estimated 800,000 people that use the facility every year. The drop-off zone can accommodate nine tour buses. DeVos Place offers two box offices, an information desk and a lost and found.

The 162,000 square-foot full service Exhibit Hall is the size of three football fields placed side by side and can be divided into three rooms with a ceiling height of 72 feet at its highest point. Each of the three rooms contains restrooms at both ends and concession areas for your convenience. Hall C provides a view of the beautiful Grand River. The Exhibit Hall can accommodate up to 13,000 people in a banquet setting and up to 18,000 for a reception.

Its twelve accessible and spacious loading docks with a wash bay, two ramps and marshalling areas allow for an easy and efficient load-in and load-out. Floor pockets are located every 30 feet. Acoustic wall treatments allow for sound control. The show offices, located on the second level of the convention center, look down on the spacious, clear, 360-foot span of the Exhibit Hall.

Easy access to both levels of meeting rooms from the Grand Gallery is made possible by escalators, elevators and stairs on both the east and west ends. Additionally, the parking lot under the Exhibit Hall has elevators on the south end that take you to the second level.

Twenty-six sub-dividable meeting rooms with varying capacities are available in four areas: Grand Gallery Meeting Rooms, Grand Gallery Overlook Meeting Rooms, Monroe Street Meeting Rooms and River Overlook Meeting Rooms. The meeting rooms offer over 24,000 square feet of space and can accommodate up to 2980 people.
