Machine Artistry Old and New: Sue Nickels and Pat Holly
Sue Nickels and Pat Holly burst onto the quilting scene in 1998 when their collaborative effort, The Beatles Quilt, won best of show at the American Quilters Society Show in Paducah. The sisters have gone on to produce numerous award-winning machine-made quilts, both collaboratively and individually.
Sue and Pat also collect antique quilts with visible machine stitching, proving that machine quilting is every bit as traditional as hand quilting.
