It will be anything but music as usual when Brooklyn-based ensemble PROJECT Trio joins the LA Chamber Orchestra (LACO) & guest conductor Jacomo Bairos for the first of LACO's 2012 Family Concerts series on Sun., Feb. 26, 2012, 2 pm, at the Alex Theatre in Glendale. PROJECT Trio, with its wildly eclectic mix of jazz, hip-hop and rock sounds, performs on Copland's Appalachian Spring and other original works in its debut as LACO's Family Concerts artists-in-residence for the next three seasons.
