After winning the Pacific Division title, the Coyotes rose to the Conference Finals where they were eliminated by the Stanley Cup Champion L.A. Kings. One of my earliest sports memories is traveling from Battle Creek to Detroit to catch the Red Wings. Clueless when the octopus hit the ice and quickly ushered out the door when the crowd around us started throwing punches that matched the fight on the ice.
