92Y Live! Inside Israel’s National Security

Congregation Kol Haverim of Glastonbury, Conn., is proud and pleased to partner with the 92 St Y and the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) to bring a series of live interactive broadcasts to the Greater Hartford community. Live from NY's 92nd Street Yâ„¢, now in its ninth year, is a series of lectures, interviews, panels, and readings featuring newsmakers, political figures, opinion-shapers and authors who discuss the issues and events that affect our lives. Using satellite technology,… Show more the 92Y simultaneously broadcasts their renowned educational and cultural programming to community organizations across America.
Join us as Chuck Freilich discusses the challenges and strengths of Israel’s national security policy, sharing insights into the history and chronic inadequacies of Israeli national security policy-making. Freilich is a senior fellow at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, professor of political science at Harvard and Tel Aviv universities, and author of Zion’s Dilemmas: How Israel Makes National Security Policy.
Freilich will be joined by Reuven Pedatzur, director of the S. Daniel Abraham Center for Strategic Dialogue at the Netanya Academic College, and senior military affairs analyst with t he newspaper Ha’aretz.
This event is open to ALL! Our evening at Congregation Kol Haverim will begin with refre shments at 7:30 pm, with the broadcast starting at 8:15 pm. Most 92Y Live programs run about 75 to 90 minutes. We invite you stay after for discussion. We are excited to share this fascinating opportunity with the Greater Hartford community and beyond!
