Galaxy Uptown

Galaxy Uptown is not only a modern, clean, full facility theater, but General Manager A.J. Witherspoon shows that he truly cares about the community. He donates to virtually all education, public school, and charity related events. He even donated time, a movie, and amenities in the VIP Theater to a local education based charity for their donor appreciation event. While I think the cost of a sporting event these days is outrageous, I don’t even notice the price of a theater ticket. I live in Gig Harbor, and I would not think of going to a first run movie anywhere by the Galaxy Uptown.

I am baffled by the negative review from "Reality". We live in Gig Harbor and have been to numerous movies at the Galaxy. The people have always been very nice and accomadating. We adore the ticket guy who always has a smile and a nice disposition. The popcorn is good, the seats comfy, the bathroom clean, the inside of the theater has always been clean and the floor is not sticky. We had our daughters birthday there and everyone had a great time. They took care of everything and made it all very easy for me. We are glad that we finally have a nice place to go watch a movie on our side of the bridge. Thank you Galaxy!!!!

they overcharge because thats Gig Harbor. NOT ALL OF US ARE RICH GALAXY OWNERS! the managers tried to lower the prices, but the owners came by personally to tell the manager to change the prices and raise everything back up two dollars or they'll fire them. services is horrible, they ignore all the customers and talk to their friends instead, the seating is sub-par, and they are catoring only to the rich. Go to a place in Tacoma or Port Orchard. Don't waste your money here

A great venue!

I was very fond of the old Gig Harbor Cinema (3 plex) and sad to see it go. But the Glitz, Value, and Professionalism of the new Galaxy Uptown is a Fabulous addition to a town in need of at least one thing being built with the future in mind. Please don't let the city planners know there is not a turnabout in the lobby, because they will make you put one in.
We saw two movies today; one in the VIP theater, and the other in the regular theater area. The place is fantastic, the staff is wonderful, and they even put fresh flowers in the rest rooms, very nice job all around, you deserve kudos for a beautiful accomplishment. Thank you for picking Gig Harbor, would you care to take a stab at planning the rest of the city?

Seriously was 9th in line AT 6AM AND NO ONE SHOWED UP. THANKS GALAXY!! When you say you are handing out season passes at 6AM on Mar 7 YOU SHOULD, RIGHT? EVEN IF THEY ARE CAMPING OUT THEY HAVE TO EARN IT BY STAYING ALL NIGHT!!! That's Gig Harbor for ya
