Lance Rhoades will offer a free talk on ‘American Indians in Cinema: Portrayals and Participation, Onscreen and Behind the Scene.' This talk will address the role cinema has played in perpetuating and challenging perceptions of American Indians.
The Gig Harbor Film Festival will follow with a 4 p.m. screening at the Galaxy Theater, “Older Than America,” with filmmaker Georgina Lightning for a Q&A session afterward. Tickets for the film are $8 for adults, $6 for seniors, military and students.
