Contemporary II

Ages: 12 & up

Students will refine their use of balance, posture, weight and gravity to express a range of emotions through movement, using new techniques and music genres.

Notes:
Add on "Leaps & Turns Technique" (Thursdays at 3pm) to strengthen your dance technique. This class will hold an in-class Winter Performance December 11. This class participates in Darlington's Spring Dance Recital, held at a nearby off-site location. Upon registration each student will be charged a $25 dance recital… Show more fee. Each student will receive two recital tickets (additional tickets will be available for purchase at $7/ticket, no limit). Recital costumes will be selected by teachers. Parents will be notified of costume style, size and price in December (estimated price is $35-$60 per costume). More information regarding the Dance Recital, Dress Rehearsal and Photos will be distributed in the Fall. Class Attire: Leotard and tights or tank top and close-fitting pants (no jeans). Shoes: "FootUndeez" or similiar. Hair pulled back off the face and neck in a pony-tail or bun. No jewelry except small stud earrings. Bring a water bottle.
