Hip Hop I (Ages 8-11) Wed/Fri

Get funky! This class develops the movement dynamics and energy needed for styles of hip hop from old school to today's new trends.

Also offered Friday afternoons. Students may be bused directly from GVES & GVMS for this class as part of our Arts After School Club. This class will hold an in-class Winter Performance December 12. This class participates in Darlington's Spring Dance Recital, held at a nearby off-site location. Upon registration each student will be charged a $25 dance recital… Show more fee. Each student will receive two recital tickets (additional tickets will be available for purchase at $7/ticket, no limit). Recital costumes will be selected by teachers. Parents will be notified of costume style, size and price in December (estimated price is $35-$60 per costume). More information regarding the Dance Recital, Dress Rehearsal and Photos will be distributed in the Fall.

Class Attire: Tank top and close-fitting pants (no jeans or skirts) or a leotard and tights. Black dance sneakers or black shell-top Adidas sneakers. Hair pulled back off the face and neck in a pony-tail. No jewelry except small stud earrings. Bring a water bottle.
