View the Matheson Museum's new exhibition entitled "Life on Pleasant Street."The exhibit features oral histories, artifacts and recently discovered photographs from the Mark V. Barrow Archives.The Pleasant Street Historic District is one of Gainesville’s oldest African American neighborhoods.
Exhibit highlights include the oral histories of A. Quinn Jones, and Rosa B. Williams.Also included are photographs of Sara’s Restaurant, Mom’s Kitchen, Friendship Baptist Church, Union Academy and more.
