Historic Haile Homestead at Kanapaha Plantation Tours
Guided tours of the restored 1856 plantation home of the Thomas Haile family. Unique in the nation for its "Talking Walls" where family and friends wrote over 12,500 words. National Register of Historic Places. The Hailes were among many planters from South Carolina who established Sea Island Cotton plantations here, built by enslaved Africans.
