Dennis Russell Davies was appointed as Principal Conductor of the Bruckner Orchestra Linz in 2002.
With its 110 musicians it manages not only the music productions of Linz's Landes Theater but also the concert orchestra in Upper Austria.
Bruckner Orchestra Linz is the symphony orchestra of Upper Austria, and as such a figurehead for the city of Linz and the federal province of Upper Austria.
Under its Principal Conductor the Orchestra has undertaken plans to record all of Bruckner's symphonies in their original versions by 2007.
The Bruckner Orchestra is proud of its move.on orchestra workshop, which has been leading the way in developing workshop-based concerts for children and young people. Each season move.on now reaches some 4,000 children in Upper Austria.
