The Department of Music at FSU

The Department of Music is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music. It has long been known for its excellence in music education, performance, and composition. The distinguished faculty excel as artists, scholars, composers, and teachers.

Over 200 music majors pursue Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees in Music Education, Performance, and Composition.

Our concert calendar of events includes many opportunities for student performance, guest lecturers and artists of international reputation, frequent master-classes, clinics and festivals in all areas of specialization, and faculty recitals.
