Winter Wonders: Youth Orchestra Concert

The Youth Chamber Orchestra, a string orchestra with musicians as young as six, plays movements from Mozart string quartets. The Youth Symphony Orchestra, a full symphonic ensemble with young musicians of all ages, performs a program of overtures: Mendelssohn's Hebrides Overture (Fingal's Cave), Balakirev's Overture on Russian Themes, and Rossini's beloved Overture to the Barber of Seville. Then the two orchestras combine to play the Bernstein/Muller Highlights from West Side Story.
