Chinese American history exhibit and lecture series at the Fremont Public Library

On January 5 2013 the Fremont Public Library opens an 8 week showing of the exhibit “Remembering 1882” which presents the history of the U.S. Chinese Exclusion Laws. Historian and author Philip Choy will kick-off a lecture series that takes place will each Saturday in January. Author Philip Choy speaks 1/5/2013, Author Judy Yung speaks 1/12/2013, Genealogist Christine DeVillers talks on 1/19/2013, Geraldine Low-Sabado talks about the Pacific Grove Chinese fishing village on 1/26/2013.
