Wow. This was a great surprise to me. We took my Dad and family here on their recommendation. I have driven past it quite a few times and never looked twice. Missed out by not stopping.
The food is great here. It's an old southern establishment. Tables are open, worn, and close. However, it doesn't detract at all from the experience. Almost every table has a view of the bay right behind the restaurant. That view includes some free ranging chickens pecking around.
The food is excellent. We all had the fried platters. Scallops were perfect. Not to mushy, and not gummy. Seasoning was perfect. One of my pet peeves is not having enough to drink either from small glasses or wait staff that doesn't refill often. The glasses here were huge AND they were attentive.
The service was attentive, and prompt.
