Violent Motion: Frederic Remington’s Artistry In Bronze

This special exhibition pairs rarely seen bronze sculptures by Frederic Remington with his paintings to reveal action in a two-dimensional versus a three-dimensional medium. Mary Burke, Director of the Museum, explains that "Remington created 22 of the most memorable bronzes of any American sculptor of his time and we are very proud to present 9 of them as part of the Museum’s 30th anniversary celebration. His influence in shaping the West of the popular imagination cannot be overstated."
