Get Green began in 1999 as an hour-long river greening party. Today, it’s the only family-friendly St. Patrick’s Day festival in the area and is hosted by the Fort Wayne Professional Firefighters. Proceeds from the event benefit local organizations, charities and scholarship funds. Events include the 5Kilt race, Strongman Competition, Parade, River Greening, Lucky Charms Eating Competition, Gold Coin Hunt, live music, food & drinks.
