Monthly Art Roundtable: Women’s Work-Art and Fashion: A Study of Sonia Delaunay with Professor M. Kathleen Colussy, M.F.A.

Tuesday, Jul 9, 2013 12:00p to 1:30p

Sonia Delaunay was an artist who cofounded the Orphism art movement. It is noted for its use of strong colors and geometric shapes. Her work extends to painting, textile design and stage set design. Professor M. Kathleen Colussy, M.F.A. created a new fine art series of handmade books. This skill contends with the realities of the gloss travel brochures along with the reality of the indigenous people living and working in a given country.
