Tony Roberts

Tony Roberts is coined by his peers as the "comedian's comedian." His hard hitting, energetic style has catapulted him into the top ranks of the comedy circuit.Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan on Seven Mile, Tony is the oldest son of Annette Roberts and the only son of his father Alvin Askew. He graduated from Henry Ford High School and then went into the Army where he spent 10 years of service. A befitting journey, since some have also referred to Tony as the "Sergeant of Comedy."
After leaving… Show more the service and going from job to job, a good friend of Tony's dared him to get on stage and try his hand at stand-up comedy. Mark Ridley's Comedy Castle in Royal Oak, Michigan is where Tony first graced the stage, but Tony recalls that night being everything but graceful.
