Art About Shoes features the artwork of area 4th graders and their interpretations on shoes. The exhibit will be on display until November 2, 2008.
Get a different perspective on shoes when looking at them through a child’s eyes. Kids get into the act with Art About Shoes - creating artwork and writing stories about the shoes they wear. Twenty-eight pieces of artwork from Cindy Castanette’s 4th grade class at Clear Lake Elementary School (Bethel School District, Eugene Oregon) are featured in this unique exhibit. Each student created a contour line drawing of their shoe and incorporate an original written story into the picture, creating a multifaceted piece of art that brings the their shoes to life.
Museum hours are 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Admission is $3 for adults; $2 for seniors and youths ages 17 and under and $8 for families (two adults and up to four youths). Museum members, university faculty and staff and students are admitted free.
