Molly Abraham: People from the Downriver area have discovered this charmingly offbeat spot between Monroe and Toledo just off I-75 where Tad and Catherine Cousino serve frog legs in several descriptions as well as a nicely creative list of dishes from lamb chops with Bordelaise sauce to marinated pork tenderloin in a rustic building that has survived since 1853. It's been Frog Leg Inn for more than 80 years, so when the Cousinos took over in '94, they kept the name and the dish. The couple, who serve dinner only, admits their restaurant is in the middle of nowhere, but that adds to its charm as does Catherine's French accent. It's just a mile or so from the Erie/Temperance exit from I-75.
