The oldest of The Mountaineers lodges, Meany is located near Stampede Pass on a ridge above the Yakima River and surrounded by national forest land, away from the throngs at commercial ski areas. The lodge has private ski slopes with four packed runs for novice and intermediate downhill skiers, plus some extremely challenging unpacked runs for advanced and expert skiers, for a total of 32 downhill runs. Cross-country trails wind for miles through the surrounding forest with destinations such as Stampede Pass, the weather station, and Mount Frances.
