Music@Bethel’s final concert of its fourteenth season will showcase the world-class piano talents of its very own artistic director, Jeffrey Panko.
The concert will feature music by Bach, two Beethoven sonatas, variations on a theme of Corelli by Rachmaninoff, and a Duruflé trio for piano, flute and viola.
Joining Mr. Panko for the Music@Bethel concert will be Elmhurst resident and Professor of Flute at Wheaton College and Elmhurst College, Jennie Brown, and the Associate Principal Violist of the… Show more Lyric Opera Orchestra, Terry Van Valkinburgh.
Mr. Panko’s piano concerts have been enjoyed by classical music fans around the world, from Carnegie Hall to Warsaw, Poland. Currently working with his mentor, Chicago Symphony Orchestra pianist Mary Sauer as well as Dr. Robert Holst, Panko has earned top prize awards in competitions including the Society of American Musicians’ Piano Competition and the Frinna Awerbuch International Piano Competition.
