Track Two
10:00 - 11:00 A Walk through the Stock Selection Guide (SSG) Part I
Julie Werner will explore the fundamentals of performing an SSG. Using a specific company for this analysis, we will walk through the basics of analyzing the historical growth and management performance to identify the characteristics that make a company worthy of investing. We will also use the SSG information to estimate future performance and determine the most opportune time to purchase the stock .
11:00 - Noon A Walk through the Stock Selection Guide (SSG) Part II
Using the results of Part I, we will perform an in-depth analysis and comparison to other similar sector stocks to determine best in class. You will find out how to identify golden nuggets of information you can use to make buy and sell decisions that could lead to enhanced portfolio returns. Ms Werner will use her 30+ years of investing experience to help you better understand the SSG and how it can help you become a better investor.
1:00 pm - 3:00 pm Understanding the Stock Market.....What is Normal
Ms Werner will share with us her extensive experience and the lessons she learned as an investor in bull and bear markets. She will discuss the historical perspective of the stock market, what is normal, and how you can become a better investor by eliminating emotion from your investment decisions.
3:00 pm - 4:00 pm Digging for Gold Using Stock Prospector
Join Gayle Olson as he introduces the Stock Prospector screening tool. He'll walk students through the wizards, setting up queries, and defining and running complete reports. The tool is powerful and Gayle will show you how to make it function to fit your needs.
At the end of the day, we invite all of the students to join the instructors for a happy hour at Picahna, a Brazilian Steak House in the Eau Claire area.
