Amphibian Monitoring Training

Are you someone who likes to get outside and explore the natural world? Do you have an interest in local amphibians? Would you like to help contribute to a real conservation project? If you answered yes to these questions, you should join Northwest Trek's Amphibian Egg Mass Survey Program! Participants will be trained with Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife protocols and taught how to identify the egg masses of 8 different amphibian species. Trained volunteers will have access to monitoring… Show more tools, including waders, digital cameras, and GPS units to monitor for the presence of egg masses monthly from February to July. Training and a monthly commitment is required to participate in this project. Training will be held: Saturday Feb 9th 9am-noon (required in class training) Saturday Feb 23rd 1pm - 4pm (optional field training).
