Meet the Host: Dr. Kamala Uzzell, Ph.D, LPC, NCC, Acs, DCC
Dr. Kamala L. Uzzell is a nationally recognized licensed professional and national board certified counselor, educator, life coach and motivational speake r. She lives out her passion for mental health and wellness by operating Solay Counseling & Research Center, P.C., which she founded and of which she is the President & CEO. In addition to seeing clients in her private practice, Dr.Uzzell is an adjunct professor of Counseling at Campbell University.
As a motivational speaker and life coach, she strives to assist others in attaining success in their personal, educational and professional lives by motivating them to realize their purpose, set and focus on goals and utilize their talents to achieve those goals all while gaining a greater sense of self-empowerment.
Dr. Uzzell has appeared as a professional guest on a number of radio broadcasts, including The Political Jones Show and Dr. Walter Sims’ “The Motivator Blog Talk Radio Show”. She has also served as a keynote speaker at various churches, community events and institutions of higher education including, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, North Carolina Central University and Vorhees College. Dr.Uzzell is a current member of the Boss (Bringing Out Successful Sisters) Network and was a featured guest host on the Boss Tele-Seminar Series. She is also featured on the current season of Unfaithful: Stories of Betrayal on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN).
