Gran Torino: Ethics FIlm Series Screening
In the film, disgruntled Korean War vet Walt Kowalski (Clint Eastwood) sets out to reform his neighbor, a young Hmong teenager, who tried to steal Kowalski’s prized possession: his 1972 Gran Torino.
The film will be followed by a discussion on social and ethical issues within the film with Professor Marianna Torgovnick.
Refreshments and free parking passes provided.
The series is presented by the Kenan Institute for Ethics at Duke, Screen/Society, and the Center for Documentary Studies.
