The Caird Hall Complex is located in the heart of the City of Dundee, overlooking the pedestrianised City Square. Behind the imposing ten doric columns are well designed, versatile facilities. The impressive foyer helps to create a unique atmosphere for events as well as providing a reception, social and exhibition area.
In the summer of 2002, the venue was refurbished with the assistance of a £750,000 grant funded by The Scottish Arts Council's Lottery Fund. The remaining £450,000 was funded by Dundee City Councils Capital budget. The project included new stalls seating, new public bars, upgrade of backstage facilities and improved access for all. Organisers of events are able to choose accommodation from a variety of distinctive rooms and splendid halls, capable of providing a seating capacity from 10 to 2150. The Caird Hall is multi-functional and can be used as a seated or standing venue or an exhibition area of 733 square metres.
