After 30 years of marriage, 67-year-old Inge is living contentedly in Berlin with her husband, Werner (Horst Rehberg). Inge has her small business which is how she encounters Karl, with whom she promptly and unhesitatingly begins a passionate sexual and romantic affair. Inge chooses to be candid with her husband about this new direction in her life.
