Jason Moran and The Bandwagon, the vocals of Alberto Mizrahi, Detroit Baritone Emery Stephens, and conductor Norah Duncan IV bring life to Dave Brubeck’s musical exploration of civil rights, the “Gates of Justice” composition. The program includes the Detroit Brass and Percussion Ensemble and 60-voice choir featuring members of Wayne State University's Symphonic Choir and Detroit Choral Society weaving the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and biblical scripture throughout this historic piece.
