The Few Records started as an idea back in 2002, an idea of having an artist friendly Detroit record label that did all genres of music with an underlying thread of quality. Hence the motto of the label, "No Genres, Just Good Music." The Few Records also was a conscientious decision to try not only to help Detroit artists, but Detroit as a whole. Michigan's brain drain doesn't end with workers like computer programmers, it affects our artists and artistic community as well. the Few is an effort to help keep our talent and money in the city and region versus seeing so many artists and friends leave the city for New York, Berlin, London and La. Artists should be moving Here because of the amount of talented musicians. Remember, Detroit breeds champions. If you can do it here, you can do it anywhere.
